Songwriter/performer, The Wiz, presented a program of his original lyrics and music in what will be the first of a number of concerts to be performed at the community theater. Accompanying himself on a 12 string guitar, this talented musician evoked the story teller image when he reconnected with his former persona as a troubadour of the 60s and 70s. He captivated the audience as he shared the background of each of his songs- many of which he had performed at the Cafá Wha? in New York's Greenwich Village. Playhouse 19 will be bringing The Wiz back for another concert later in the season. Watch for tickets as this is a show that is appropriate for all age groups
